Copy, Paste, Delete, or Undo Row and Column Information
You can perform copy-and-paste operations on channel and module
cells in the Configure Channels
tab. You can use copy and paste for cells on the same module or from
one module to another. You can also copy the channel configuration for
an entire module to another module of the same type.
Copy and Paste Channel Cells
After configuring one or more channels, to copy cells:
- Drag the mouse over the cells to be copied or
cut.
- Right-click the mouse and click Copy.
- Drag the mouse over the cells to be pasted.
- Right-click the mouse and click Paste.
- Right-click the mouse and click Undo
at any time to undo the previous operation.
Notes:
- You can also use CTRL+C
to copy, Ctrl+V to paste, Ctrl+X to delete, or CTRL+Z to undo.
- If the paste operation is ambiguous, for
example, attempting to paste a Range
column onto a Function column,
you will receive the "Invalid or incompatible target" error message.
Copy and Paste a Module
After configuring a module, to copy that configuration to another module
of the same type:
- Right-click the module number (34901A, for example)
in the Channels column and click
Copy.
- Right-click on another module of the same type
(34901A, for example) and click Paste.
Other Keyboard Operations
Use your computer keyboard's up, down, right, and left arrow keys to move from
cell to cell on the Configure Channels
tab. Use Enter
to expand a list. Use the up and down arrow keys to move up and down the
list.
Delete a Computed Channel
To delete a computed channel, which is given a 900-series channel number for DAQ970A/DAQ973A and 34972/70A | 9000-series for 34980, right-click on the channel then click Delete.
