NOTE: This settings is only available for load model EL33133A, EL34143A, and EL34243A.
The sequencer settings enables the instrument to periodically switch between two load levels, as might be required for testing power supplies. Before you turn on the sequencer, you should set the desired mode of operation as well as all of the parameters associated with sequencer (waveform shape). Sequencer operation may be used in the CC, CR, CP, or CV modes with five selected waveform shape: continuous, pulsed, toggled, sine, or ramp.
Note: Parameter choices vary by instrument. Some of the parameters listed below might not be available on your particular instrument. The bench application will list only those parameters, and parameter ranges, available for your particular instrument.
From the "Mode" drop-down for each load input, select the operating mode: CV (constant voltage), CC (constant current), CP (constant power), or CR (constant resistance). When programmed to a specific mode, the input remains in that mode until the mode is changed or until a fault condition, such as an overpower or over-temperature, occurs.
A sample preview of the current waveform is shown in this window. Note that this is an approximation and the actual waveform output may be different.
Right-click anywhere on the waveform preview to display these options:
Save Chart Image to File – Export a screen shot of the waveform preview to a JPEG, BMP, or PNG file. The JPEG and BMP formats save the preview with a yellow trace on a black background; the PNG format saves the preview with a colored trace on a white background. By default, the screen shot is stored in the "My Documents" folder on your computer. For example – C:\Users\<user_name>\Documents\Keysight\BenchVue\Load\Exports\.
Copy Chart Image to Clipboad – Export a screen shot of the chart to the Windows clipboard.
Select the waveform shape and configure the waveform's output parameters.
There are five supported waveform shape: Continuous, Pulse, Toggle, Sine, and Ramp.
Continuous – Set the transient input level, duty cycle and frequency of the continuous waveform.
Pulse – Set the transient input level and pulse width of the pulse waveform.
Toggle – Set the transient input level of the toggle waveform.
Sine – Set the amplitude, offset, frequency and phase deviation of the sine waveform.
Ramp – Set the amplitude, offset, frequency, phase deviation and symmetry of the ramp waveform.
Configure the repeat count, trigger source and trigger delay for each waveform. Check "Continuous" to repeat the waveform continuously.
