Missing Serial Device
This section contains information that applies to Windows and Linux, not Windows on ARM.
Problem:
A device connected via serial (RS-232) port is not recognized by Connection Expert.
Probable Cause:
Connection Expert does not automatically detect serial devices. You must add these devices manually.
Suggested Steps:
- Make sure your devices are physically connected and turned on.
- Run Connection Expert.
- Click

- Select Serial instrument on ASRLn. (You will have options corresponding to the serial ports available on your system; for example, ASRL3 for COM3.)
- Specify the properties (baud rate, etc.) as they are set on the instrument. Click OK to save.
