This help system contains information on the PathWave BenchVue Lab Manager. The PathWave BenchVue Lab software application is designed as a lab management solution that provides centralized control for educators to seamlessly connect and monitor all the instruments within a lab. This solution consists of the Manager and Client Apps – the Manager App (PathWave BenchVue Lab Manager) acts as the main software application installed on the lab administrator’s PC for centralized control and management, while the Client App (PathWave BenchVue Lab Client) runs on test bench PCs and connects all the instruments at individual test benches.
With PathWave BenchVue Lab, customers can:
- Streamline and simplify lab management, saving lab administrators and educators time and freeing them to focus on teaching. PathWave BenchVue Lab provides overview connection statuses of all instruments, tracks assets with advanced management tools, manages and updates instruments' firmware with firmware update management tools, and allows administrators to configure the measurement settings of all instruments at once, all from a single admin PC.
- Utilize PathWave BenchVue Lab as an education lab teaching software platform. With multiple views and an intuitive GUI, administrators can check the connection statuses and apply configurations for multiple instruments. Full desktop and BenchVue application sharing also allows for easy remote monitoring and student assistance in the test lab.
- Easily integrate the software into their existing lab setup. PathWave BenchVue Lab supports over five hundred Keysight test and measurement instruments and will also connect to non-Keysight test instruments that are compliant with the VISA connection protocol.
- Save on investment. Hundreds of instruments can be connected on one network to PathWave BenchVue Lab without requiring an additional router.
Key Features and Specifications
- The PathWave BenchVue Lab Manager software application (Manager App) is the main software application installed on the lab administrator PC, which is designed for centralized control for the lecturer and/or lab manager.
- The administrator PC connects the instruments from all the test benches in the same network. The Manager App can support up to a maximum of one hundred benches, with a maximum of six instruments per bench.
- The Manager App may optionally communicate with Client Apps installed on multiple test bench PCs.
- The Manager App supports over five hundred Keysight test instruments as well as non-Keysight test instruments that are compliant with VISA connection protocol.
- The Manager App includes lab configuration, lab administration, asset tracking and firmware update features.

Software Licensing
Keysight's flexible licensing options allow you to select the license type and license terms that best fit your software needs.
