Trial Install

This guide will help you to configure license usage for PathWave Lab Operations for EMC Test Client application.

Note

The PathWave License Manager needs to be installed before the PathWave Lab Operations for EMC Test installation. For this purpose, follow the instructions in PathWave License Manager.

Add PathWave Lab Operations for EMC Test License

 Select the following option:
  • Add a License File - intended for Node-locked or Transportable license

This guide will help you to install the PathWave Lab Operations for EMC Test backend (server) components.

 

Install PathWave Lab Operations for EMC Test Server Components

 Run the EP1301A Backend Setup.exe with administrator privileges and follow the instructions.

 Select required components and proceed:
  • PostgreSQL Server – installs PostgreSQL server with required settings. An official installer of PostgreSQL (Version 13) is required. You can download it by the following link https://www.postgresql.org/download/windows. If this component is selected then on next step you need to select PostgreSQL installer file to proceed.
  • Create Database – creates PathWave Lab Operations for EMC Test Database on PostgreSQL Server with specified name ("demo" by default)
  • Seed Master Data – populates PathWave Lab Operations for EMC Test Database with required master data like Project and Test Statuses, Editor and Schedule Configurations, etc.
  • Seed Demo Data – populates PathWave Lab Operations for EMC Test Database with demo data
  • File Service – installs and starts Lab Ops File Service API

Select PostgreSQL installer file. This step is required only if PostgreSQL Server component was selected on previous step.

Set required fields and proceed:

  • DatabaseHost – PostgreSQL Database Host
  • DatabaseName – PathWave Lab Operations for EMC Test Database Name to be created ("demo" by default)
  • FileStorageFolder – a file folder that is used by File Service API to store files. Make sure the selected folder exists.

Specify desired PathWave License Type:

  • Local – when local PathWave license file is provided

 Select PathWave Licensing Folder where PathWave license file is located. This step is required only if Local License Type was selected on previous step.

 Review selected components and click Install to finish with installation.

Install PathWave Lab Operations for EMC Test Client Application

 Run the EP1301A Setup.exe with administrator privileges and follow the instructions.

 For running PathWave Lab Operations for EMC Test client application.Net Desktop Runtime is required. If it is missed in the system, you can install it additionally during installation.

 Review your settings and click Install to finish with the installation.

You can now start the application and run PathWave Lab Operations for EMC Test.
