Audio Flatness Adjustment

This test is performed only on analyzers with Option 107 and Option 233.

This procedure measures the uncorrected flatness of the Audio assembly across the Audio assembly’s 20 Hz to 250 kHz range. The temperature at the time of adjustment is measured and stored. For each data point the voltage measured by the Audio AC level measurement in the PSA and the AC voltage reported by the DMM are used to calculate the gain in dB. The normalized gain referenced to the 10 kHz reference frequency is calculated and stored in the PSA EEPROM and are used to during audio band measurements.

Five passes through the procedure are made at different Audio input voltage levels in order to obtain corrections for each of the 5 Audio Gain ranges.

The procedure should be performed after replacing the A37 board or when upgrading an instrument with Option 107.

This adjustment saves an output file which lists the corrections that were stored in the instrument. The output file is saved at this location:
