Resolution bandwidth switching uncertainty is the relative amplitude error caused by switching the discrete IF pre-filter in the Analog IF in or out of the signal path. To measure the resolution bandwidth switching uncertainty, an amplitude reference is taken with the resolution bandwidth set to 30 kHz using the marker delta function. As the resolution bandwidth is then set to a series of values between 300 Hz and 8 MHz, the relative amplitude variation is measured at each setting and compared to the specification.
