Attenuator Cycle Count Reset Utility

PSG-D instruments maintain a count of the number of times the mechanical attenuator is switched. When the count reaches a threshold, the attenuator is replaced; but replacing the attenuator does not, by itself, cause the switch count to be reset to zero. This utility provides a way of resetting the count to zero.

  • Be careful to only run this utility after actually replacing the attenuator. Using this utility without having actually replaced the attenuator can affect the warranty coverage for the instrument.

  • Please note that there is no way to undo this operation.

  • Applies to PSG-D instruments with firmware revision C.06.15 or greater.

  • Applies only to PSG-D instruments with a mechanical attenuator (Option 1E1).
