The goal of this calibration is to determine the optimal sum pretune DAC setting for the sum loop frequency index. This data is used by firmware to pretune the sum loop and minimize switching transient time due to loop slewing. The sum loop is opened and the adjustment is performed using the sum loop under/over indicators to determine the optimal sum loop control DAC setting. The open loop tune voltage is then compared with the close loop tune voltage to ensure that the loop is locked to the correct frequency.
