Internal Alignments

The Internal Alignment performs a complete internal alignment of all channel(s) of the instrument. This will ensure optimal operation of the signal generator.

TME will automatically run this procedure before running performance tests, and then once a week. It will also be run if the signal generator indicates it requires the alignment. To maintain instrument accuracy, it is important to keep the instrument aligned.

While the alignment is running, energy will be present at the RF Output of the channel(s). Level-sensitive devices must be disconnected before the alignment is run. The RF Output can be terminated with a 50 Ω load to eliminate such signals from being broadcast in the test environment.

In the rare case of an alignment failure, the procedure can be manually executed from the front panel of the VXG. Go to Settings > Alignment > Run.

Required Test Equipment

Loads are optional. If using, one per RF Out port is required.
