Harmonic Spurious Performance Test

M9384B

This test does not apply to M9384B VXGs with Option 1ES (Improved Signal to Noise Ratio for 20 GHz and below).

Harmonics spurious measures the amplitude of an integral harmonic product of a CW signal produced by the signal generator relative to the amplitude of that CW signal.

The spectrum analyzer and the signal generator are both tuned to the harmonic frequency and a reference amplitude measurement is made. Then, the signal generator is tuned to the fundamental frequency with the power level unchanged. The spectrum analyzer measures the resulting harmonic response relative to the reference amplitude.
