This test measures the difference in carrier amplitude with pulse modulation on and off. The On signal is measured using a CW signal is generated by the DUT with pulse modulation turned off. The Off signal is measured by turning pulse modulation on and setting the pulse source to an external input. Since there is no signal at this external input, the RF output power will be turned off. A signal analyzer is used to measure the ratio of the power of CW signal turned on and off.
