A noise source is connected to the Noise Figure Analyzer’s input. Then Analyzer measures linear Y-Factor over 100 samples. The standard deviation is then calculated using the "nonbiased" or "n-1" method. The test uses the following formula:
The linear value is then converted to Log10 to give the Y-factor Standard Deviation with no averaging.
