A PNA with an older version of firmware may cause test execution problems. Refer to the Readme.txt for firmware revision requirements.
If the PNA has RF loops on the front panel, make sure the RF connections for the loops are clean and properly torqued to 8 lb-in. The loops on a microwave PNA are installed horizontally. The loops on an RF PNA are installed vertically.
The specified warm-up time for a PNA to meet all specifications is ninety minutes. This specification should be observed when any performance test fails.
For a microwave PNA:
Make sure the Port 1 and Port 2 connectors are clean and within proper mechanical tolerances.
Make sure that RF cables show good performance over the frequency range of the PNA.
Use only the specified connectors and adapters.
Make sure all test equipment connectors are clean and in good condition.
Torque all connections to 8 lb-in.
Make sure all test equipment is properly warmed up.
