Amplitude Linearity Performance Test

(M9393A)

This test measures the amplitude linearity of the PXIe signal analyzer. Amplitude linearity is the amplitude accuracy over a range of input signals relative to an expected input level of +5 dBm. The test technique uses the two-source frequency offset method. The two source technique is accurate over small amplitude ranges (5 to 7 dB) so the source amplitude is lowered in 5 dB increments. The linearity sections are then “stitched” together for all source amplitudes. 6 dB fixed attenuators are included in the signal path to increase the source-to-source isolation.
