The internal alignment runs three alignments in the following sequence:
RF Alignment
The first procedure nulls the LO feedthrough in the first mixer for low frequencies (100 MHz – 400 MHz). IF align corrects for the IF response in the IF chain. Amplitude align corrects for the RF response in the RF chain. All these alignments are affected by temperature variations. If the Internal Alignment throws an exception, then the test result will be reported as a Fail. If a Fail is encountered, then the exception log should be reviewed to troubleshoot the failure.
Additionally, a Self Test is run before and after the alignment in order to verify basic system functionality. Any diagnostic messages from the Self Test will be displayed in a pop-up window during the test run.
