Available Features (802.16 OFDM)
The following features are available with OFDM Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing: OFDM employs multiple overlapping radio frequency carriers, each operating at a carefully chosen frequency that is Orthogonal to the others, to produce a transmission scheme that supports higher bit rates due to parallel channel operation. OFDM is an alternative tranmission scheme to DSSS and FHSS. Demodulation:
- Standard 802.16 OFDM demodulation presets
- Variable carrier spacing
- with manual override
- constellation measurement data (includes multiple formats when present)
- Auto detected format: BPSK Binary phase shift keying - A type of phase modulation using 2 distinct carrier phases to signal ones and zeros., QPSK Quadrature phase shift keying, 16QAM, 64QAM (color coded for display)
- FDD Frequency Division Duplex: A duplex scheme in which uplink and downlink transmissions use different frequencies but are typically simultaneous., TDD Time Division Duplex: A duplexing technique dividing a radio channel in time to allow downlink operation during part of the frame period and uplink operation in the remainder of the frame period. and H-FDD modes (including non-bursted)
- Subchannelization supported
- Equalizer response measurement data
- measurement data
- Enhanced Error Vector trace data display
- used to remove the effects of high-side mixing or complex conjugation mismatches in simulated data.
- (similar to time gating) used to select specific data segments for analysis
- Averaging is applicable
only in the following circumstances:
- Multi-measurement averaging is available for OFDM trace data
- The following
averaging types are available for the numeric error summary data and for
the pre-demodulated spectrum trace data:
- Time gating is not available (does offer measurement offset/interval feature)
- of the 802.16 OFDM burst
- (used to show frequency settling)

These features are available with Digital Demod but not available for OFDM Demodulation:

- IQ Mag error and IQ Phase error trace data
