IQ Offset (802.16 OFDM)

IQ Offset (also called I/Q origin offset or carrier leakage) indicates the magnitude of the carrier feedthrough signal, as measured during the channel estimation sequence portion of the preamble. When there is no carrier feedthrough, IQ offset is zero (-infinity dB).

IQ Offset magnitude is computed from the individual offsets of the I and Q signals equal to:

The IQ Offset magnitude is expressed in dB relative to the average power of the occupied subcarrier.

IQ Offset is the same as IQ Offset for Digital Demodulation. For more information about this parameter, see IQ Offset (Digital Demod).
