Status (802.16 OFDMA)

Status or PRBS Pseudo-Random Binary Sequence Status provides PRBS information including detected PRBS mismatch status information. PRBS mismatch occurs when the VSA PRBS settings do not match the IEEE Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. A US-based membership organisation that includes engineers, scientists, and students in electronics and related fields. The IEEE developed the 802 series wired and wireless LAN standards. Visit the IEEE at http://www.ieee.org 802.16 OFDMA input signal PRBS. When there is a PRBS mismatch, the VSA will still be able to demodulate and analyze the signal, and provide PRBS mismatch status information. Use the Status information to determine and resolve PRBS mismatch. PRBS Status information will vary depending on the measurement:

Status Message

Description

PRBS_Invalid

The PRBS sequence present in the waveform was detected as not complying to register definition provided in the standard.

PRBS_Indeterminate

The PRBS sequence present in the waveform could not be conclusively detected as complying with register definition provided in the standard, but may be correct.

!PRBS=0bXXXXXXXXXXX{…}

The PRBS sequence complies with the register definition in the standard, but the detected PRBS seed does not match the setup parameters provided by the user. The "{…}" part of the string lists the detected values that define the PRBS seed. These could be compared against the expected setup to determine if the problem is with the measurement setup or the waveform.

PRBS=0bXXXXXXXXXXX{…}

The PRBS sequence complies with the register definition in the standard, and the detected PRBS seed matches the setup parameters provided by the user. The "{…}" part of the string lists the detected values that define the PRBS seed.

"{…}" Status region: The possible detected values for the "{…}" region of the Status result vary depending on the standard mode and the subframe type being analyzed (Uplink or Downlink).
