Segments to Average (Channel Sounding)
Menu Path:
specifies how much averaging to perform before calculating frequency error. Increasing this value reduces the frequency lock range, but improves estimation in low SNR Signal-to-Noise Ratio situations. If the channel sounding software is having trouble locking to the sounding signal (impulse response is not stable) and increasing the Number of Repeats does not help (or is not desired), increasing Segments to Average greater than 1 may help the synchronization.
