Amp Droop (Custom IQ)

Amp Droop (also called burst amplitude droop) is a measure of the change in the magnitude of the signal over the burst being measured in units of dB per symbol.

See the Modulation Format table in Available Error Summary Data for which demodulation formats calculate this data result.

This data result is most significant for pulsed signals. A high number most likely indicates a problem with the pulse modulation process.

The amplitude droop shown in the symbol table is computed only at the symbol times (the instant in time when symbols are detected). The computation does not include points between symbols. Therefore, the value of Points / Symbol has no effect on this error data.
