D8PSK (Digital Demod)
Differential 8-Phase Shift Keying (
) is a differential modulation format where the bits for a given symbol are determined by the phase change from the previous symbol. There are four possible phase state transitions (+/- (pi/6), +/- (pi/3), +/- (2pi/3), and +/- (5pi/6) radians) therefore each symbol represents log2(8) = 3 bits of data.
The constellation diagram is the same for 8PSK.
