Burst Minislot Configuration (DOCSIS 4.0 Upstream)

Burst Minislot Configuration contains a group of parameters to automatically or manually configure the burst minislot.

Parameter Description
Auto Detect MiniSlot Start and Length

Determines whether the MiniSlot Start and MiniSlot Length settings are automatically or manually configured.

Pilot Pattern and Bit Loading are not automatically detected.

Default: Enabled

Auto Detect Enabled

The software detects the correct MiniSlot Start and MiniSlot Length settings for the burst allocation.

Auto Detect Disabled

Edit Opens the Docsis MiniSlot Allocation Editor.

  • MiniSlot Start sets the expected minislot start for the burst allocation.
    Default: 0
    Range: 0-236

This setting is overridden when Auto Detect MiniSlot Start and Length is enabled.

  • MiniSlot Length sets the expected minislot length for the burst allocation.
    Default: 236
    Range: 0-236

This setting is overridden when Auto Detect MiniSlot Start and Length is enabled.

  • Pilot Pattern sets the expected pilot pattern for the burst allocation. Use pilot patterns 1-7 for FFT=2048. Use pilot patterns 8-14 for FFT=4096.

Also the range for minislot start and minislot length is 0..236

    Default: Pattern1
    Range: Pattern1-Pattern14

  • Bit Loading sets the expected modulation type for the burst allocation.
    Default: QPSK
    Choices: BPSK, QPSK, 8-QAM, 16-QAM, 32-QAM, 64-QAM, 128-QAM, 256-QAM, 512-QAM, 1024-QAM, 2048-QAM, 4096-QAM

  • Add Adds a minislot to the manually created list of minislots.

  • Delete Deletes the selected minislot from the list of minislots.

  • Apply Applies the edited list of minislots to the current DOCSIS 4.0 Upstream demodulation.
