Best-Fit FM Metrics
Menu Path:
The Region Table, Cumulative Statistics Table, and Current Statistics Table allow you to display the Best-Fit FM Frequency Modulation Time metrics:
- Best-Fit FM Mean (Hz)
- Best-fit FM Mean frequency in Hz, reports mean frequency of a best-fit linear least squares regression line measured over each LFM regions user defined analysis time samples. [i.e. (Best-fit FM Start (Hz) + Best-fit FM Stop (Hz))/2].
- Default visibility: ON
- Best-Fit FM Start (Hz)
- Best-fit FM Start frequency in Hz, reports start frequency of a best-fit linear least squares regression line measured over each LFM regions user defined analysis time samples.
- Default visibility: OFF
- Best-Fit FM Stop (Hz)
- Best-fit FM Stop frequency in Hz, reports stop frequency of a best-fit linear least squares regression line measured over each LFM regions user defined analysis time samples.
- Default visibility: OFF
- Best-Fit FM Pk-Pk Dev (Hz)
- Best-fit FM Peak-to-Peak Deviation in Hz, reports the absolute frequency deviation of a best-fit linear least squares regression line measured over each LFM regions user defined analysis time samples. [i.e. absolute of Best-fit FM Stop (Hz) – Best-fit FM Start (Hz)]
- Default visibility: ON
- Best-Fit FM Slope (Hz/us)
- Best-fit FM Slope in Hz/us, reports the frequency slope rate of a best-fit linear least squares regression line measured over each LFM regions user defined analysis time samples.

- Best-fit FM Integral Non-Linearity in %, reports the frequency slope non-linearity error measured as percentage ratio of Best-fit FM Error Peak (Hz) relative to Best-fit FM Pk-Pk Dev (Hz) measured over each LFM regions user defined analysis time samples [i.e. calculated as Best-fit FM Error Peak (Hz) / Best-fit FM Pk-Pk Dev (Hz) * 100.0 %, where Best-fit FM Error Peak (Hz) equates to reported FM Error Peak (Hz) metric value when FM Ref Time selection is Best-fit].
