Keyboard shortcuts

The 89600 VSA provides several keyboard shortcuts for your convenience, which are summarized below.

  ALT+F Open file menu
  ALT+E Open edit menu

Parameter Shortcuts Description
  Increases the selected parameter setting to the next value; for drop-down choices, moves up the list of choices
  ¯ Decreases the selected parameter setting to the next; for drop-down choices, moves down the list of choices
     
Trace Shortcuts Description
  Page Up Move marker to Peak (adds marker if none active)
  Page Down Move marker to Minimum Peak (adds marker if none active)
  ↑, ® Increases the trace hotspot setting to the next value
  ¯, ¬ Decreases the trace hotspot setting to the next value
  Shift For some traces in multi-channel measurements, when holding the Shift key before clicking on a hotspot that is affiliated with a specific input channel (typically Range or Center Frequency), all input changes will be coupled to the hotspot. If up/down arrows or the mouse wheel are used when the Shift key pressed, the parameter will be adjusted for all input channels. If the Shift key is held while the hotspot is double-clicked, the entry dialog will open with "Apply to all channels" selected.
     
Marker Shortcuts (See Marker Shortcuts for additional markers-related tips and shortcuts) Description
  Home Moves the marker to the first point
  End Moves the marker to the last point
  Page Up Moves the marker to peak
  Page Down Moves the marker to minimum
  ¬ Moves the marker one point to the left
  ® Moves the marker one point to the right
  Moves the marker to the next larger peak
  ¯ Moves the marker to the next smaller peak
  Ctrl+¬ Moves the marker to next peak to the left
  Ctrl+® Moves the marker to next peak to the right
     
Standard Windows Shortcuts Description
  Tab Move the keyboard focus to the next UI control
  Shift-Tab Move the keyboard focus to the previous control
  Spacebar Select/clear a checkbox or press a button that currently has keyboard focus
  Enter/Return Accept a form or dialog (usually the same as clicking the OK button)
  Esc Cancel a form or dialog (usually the same as clicking the Cancel button)
  ALT or F10 (dialogs) Show activation letters for controls (underlined letter in control title; for example: ResBW Mode)
  ALT or F10 (menus) Activate menu bar and show activation letters (for example: Copy Markers)
  ALT-{underlined letter} (dialogs) Activate the control with the underlined letter
  {underlined letter} (menus) Select menu item
