Markers Window

The 89600 VSA shows marker values in the Markers window. The following illustration shows some of the marker readouts available.

The label preceding the marker value indicates how the marker value was derived:

Mkr N shows the current x, y, and z-axis positions of marker number N.

When a Power entry is shown instead of a y-axis value, the marker is showing the results of a band power calculation.
Mkr NDTR indicates that marker N is a delta marker with reference marker TR, where T is the reference marker's trace (if different from the delta marker's trace) and R is the reference marker.

The x and z values for delta marker N are calculated by subtracting reference marker TR's x and z positions from marker N's x and z positions.

Marker N's y-axis position is calculated as the ratio: (marker N power) / (marker TR power).
Carrier shows the carrier/subcarrier number when applicable.
Channel Type shows the physical channel type (e.g., PUSCH) for digital demodulations with physical channels.
Layer shows the physical channel's layer number when multiple layers are present.
Sym shows the current symbol number.
Freq N is shown when the frequency counter is selected.

The frequency shown is from the frequency counter on marker N.
OBW shows the value of the occupied bandwidth calculation.
ACP Ref shows the power of the ACP reference channel and the powers of the upper and lower channels for adjacent channel 1.
Power shows the value of a band power calculation.
Density shows the value of a band power density calculation.
Limit shows the results of a limit test applied to the trace. See About Limit Lines for more information.

NAN (Not A Number) is displayed when the marker value is invalid (for example, if the marker value is the result of a math function that divides by zero).

INF (Infinity) is displayed when the marker value exceeds approximately 3.4E+38.

Polar Display Marker Readouts

The Polar Format box in the Position tab of the Markers dialog box determines the readout for a 2D (I/Q) trace format. The choices are between Mag & Phase or Real & Imag. The default is Mag & Phase.
