Calibrate

The Calibrate button on the Calibration dialog box performs a single calibration procedure on the VSA. A warning message box will open and provide the estimated calibration time; Click Yes to perform the calibration or No to abort calibration.

Calibration starts as soon as Yes is clicked, interrupting any measurement in progress. Calibrate is disabled if the hardware configuration does not support calibration (for example, simulation hardware).

If a calibration is performed when a measurement is paused, the VSA will restart the measurement (rather than continue it) when Control > Pause/Single or the "image\pausesingle.jpg" button is clicked. Any accumulated average data is discarded.

Calibration is done for all amplitude ranges and all frequencies regardless of instrument setup.

The calibration of different measurement hardware is unique to that hardware. Calibrate may function differently or may not be supported for all measurement hardware. Calibrate is disabled for non-supported measurement hardware.

For specific measurement hardware alignment/calibration information, go to the Measurement Platforms book in the online help table of contents, click the Measurement Hardware link and view the "Measurement Setup" or "(instrument name) Setup" topic for your hardware.
