Pausing an Averaged Measurement

To pause the VSA after each average, follow these steps:

  1. Set Sweep to single

    Click Control > Sweep > Single

  2. Select the type of averaging to perform.

    1. Click MeasSetup > Average and the arrow below Average Type

    2. Select the average type from the pull-down list.

  3. Set the number of averages

    1. Click the text box below Count

    2. Type the number of averages you want to perform and press Enter

    3. Click Close

  4. Click the Restart button ( ) to take the first average. The VSA performs one measurement sweep, then pauses.

  5. Click the Pause/Single button ( ) once for each additional average you want to include in the measurement. For example, if the number of averages is set to 3, click Pause/Single twice. Each click of the Pause/Single button takes another time record and averages the analysis results with the accumulated average.
