Frequency Conversion
You can choose one of the following frequency conversion options:
Auto Image Protect - Uses double downconversion with pre-selection filtering when possible, otherwise uses double acquisition with both low side LO and high side LO. Has the best image protection. For frequencies where double acquisition is used (when double downconversion is not possible) if the input signal has components that are spaced 4 x IF Frequency (see hardware data sheet for IF Frequency used) then IF dither should be used for additional image protection.
Prefer High Side (single conversion with high side LO) - Single downconversion with the LO frequency above the receiver frequency is used when possible, otherwise double downconversion with pre-selection filtering is used. Not image protected except at frequencies where single conversion is not possible and double downconversion is used.
- Prefer Low Side (single conversion with low side LO) - Single downconversion with the LO frequency below the receiver frequency is used when possible, otherwise double downconversion with pre-selection filtering is used. Not image protected except at frequencies where single conversion is not possible and double downconversion is used.
Prefer Double Acquisition - (double acquisition using both low side LO and high side LO) – Performs two measurements, one using low side mixing, the other with high side mixing when possible, otherwise double downconversion with pre-selection filtering is used. This provides adequate image protection for many input signals. If the input signal has components that are spaced 4 x IF Frequency (see the hardware data sheet for IF Frequency used) apart then it will not adequately provide image protection and IF dither should be used in that situation.
