Save Bitmap / Print dialog
From the
and dialogs, a bitmap of traces and other tool windows can be saved or printed.Save Bitmap dialog
In the
dialog, you can choose what to save in an image file.Content Selection
-
- selects which windows to save to a bitmap file. The entire window as shown on screen (including title bar and status bar) will be saved.
- - selects which trace windows and tool windows to save.
Only the first window/result selected will be saved unless the bitmap format chosen is TIFF. In this case, the selected windows/results will be saved as separate images in a single TIFF file.
Be aware that some image editing programs only know how to view the first image in a TIFF file.
Other controls
button: prompts the user for a file name and then exports the selected images to the file.
The bitmap may be corrupted on systems which meet one of these conditions:
- limited amount of graphics memory
- graphics memory has been consumed by a large number of open windows
- non-standard video encoders or drivers installed
The saved bitmap may be missing all or part of the desired screen area, or the bitmap may be scrambled. You may be able to work around this problem using alternate methods ("Print Screen" key, or the "Snipping Tool"). However, these may also fail depending on the original cause of the problem.
