PCFICH (LTE)
PCFICH Physical Control Format Indicator Channel is the Physical Control Format Indicator Channel and specifies how many OFDM Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing: OFDM employs multiple overlapping radio frequency carriers, each operating at a carefully chosen frequency that is Orthogonal to the others, to produce a transmission scheme that supports higher bit rates due to parallel channel operation. OFDM is an alternative tranmission scheme to DSSS and FHSS. symbols at the beginning of a subframe contain PDCCH Physical Downlink Control Channel. PCFICH is transmitted on the first OFDM symbol of a subframe and is transmitted only in subframes that contain symbols allocated to PDCCH.
The modulation type is QPSK Quadrature phase shift keying.
