Number of Iterations (5G NR/5G-Advanced)

Number of Iterations - Defines the maximum number of LDPC low-density parity check decode iterations to perform to get a CRC Cyclic Redundancy Check pass result before returning a fail result. If CRC pass is returned after the first iteration, only 1 iteration is used. If CRC Decode does not pass after the Number of Iterations value, decoding is aborted and a CRC fail result is returned.

The default value of 8 is a reliable number of iterations for a wide range of coding cases.
