Increasing Measurement Speed

You can make several choices to maximize measurement speed with Power Spectrum measurements::

•Turn calculation off for unused traces (click Trace > Data > No Data)

•Turn the marker off

•Reduce the span to the minimum required to view the spectrum of interest

•Increase the resolution bandwidth to the largest value that still lets you resolve adjacent signals in your span of interest

•Keep the video bandwidth equal to the resolution bandwidth unless smoothing/averaging is required

•Turn off noise correction if possible

•Turn off any detectors that are not required
