E2731 RF Tuner

The E2731 RF Radio Frequency: A generic term for radio-based technologies, operating between the Low Frequency range (30k Hz) and the Extra High Frequency range (300 GHz). Tuner is used in the 89641 Vector Signal Analyzer to down convert the RF signal for input into the E1439 ADC Analog-to-Digital Converter module. The module provides a wideband 70 MHz Megahertz: A unit of frequency equal to one million hertz or cycles per second. IF output signal with a 37.11 MHz bandwidth and operates in the following frequency range 36 MHz to 6 GHz Gigahertz: A frequency measurement which equals one billion hertz., in 1 kHz kiloHertz: A radio frequency measurement (one kilohertz = one thousand cycles per second). steps.

Connectors used by 89600 VSA systems

  1. 6 GHz IN: This SMA input connector accepts the 36 to 6000 MHz RF input signal or calibration signal from the 89605 module. Maximum RF input without incurring damage is 100 milliwatts.
  2. 70 MHz IF OUT: This SMA output connector provides the down-converted input signal or calibration signal to the 89605 Input module, which passes the signal to the E1439 ADC.
  3. 10 MHz EXT REF: This SMA connector accepts the 10 MHz Ext Ref output from the 89605 module for use as the tuner's time base.
  4. 2nd LO In/Out: This SMA bi-directional connector provides a sample of the 2nd LO synthesizer frequency. The impedance of this connector is 50 ohms. This connector is used only for systems with a second RF input channel. For all other configurations, this connector should be covered by the open-circuit shielding cap shipped with the module.
  5. 1st LO In/Out: This SMA bi-directional connector provides a sample of the 1st LO synthesizer frequency. The impedance of this connector is 50 ohms. This connector is used only for systems with a second RF input channel. For all other configurations, this connector should be covered by the open-circuit shielding cap shipped with the module.
