About Keysight M9391A PXI VSA with 89600 VSA Software
The 89600 VSA software supports the Keysight M9391A PXI Vector Signal Analyzer. The M9391A PXI VSA is a modular vector signal analyzer for frequencies from 1 MHz Megahertz: A unit of frequency equal to one million hertz or cycles per second. to 3 or 6 GHz Gigahertz: A frequency measurement which equals one billion hertz.. A typical PXI VSA configuration includes four individual PXI modules — M9300A frequency reference, M9301A synthesizer, M9350A downconverter and the M9214A digitizer — designed for fast data interfaces and high-speed automated test systems.
The M9391A PXI VSA was designed to work seamlessly with the 89600 VSA software, supporting communications standards such as LTE, W-CDMA Code Division Multiple Access: One of several digital wireless transmission methods in which signals are encoded using a specific pseudo-random sequence, or code, to define a communication channel. A receiver, knowing the code, can use it to decode the received signal in the presence of other signals in the channel. This is one of several "spread spectrum" techniques, which allows multiple users to share the same radio frequency spectrum by assigning each active user an unique code. CDMA offers improved spectral efficiency over analog transmission in that it allows for greater frequency reuse. Other characteristics of CDMA systems reduce dropped calls, increase battery life and offer more secure transmission. It is also the logical location of distribution and integration service functions of an extended service set (ESS). A WLAN system contains one or more APs and zero or more portals in addition to the DS. and more.
Using the M9391A PXI VSA
See the M9391A help system's Using Measurement Capabilities of the Keysight 89600 VSA Software topic for Information about using the Keysight 89600 VSA with the Keysight M9391A VSA.
Channel Configuration dialog to specify or modify the input channel configuration mapping, only the VSA default set of channel configuration mappings is allowed; "invalid" channel configuration mappings are disallowed and the " " button is disabled ("grayed out").
