About Keysight M980xA PXI VNA with 89600 VSA Software
The 89600 VSA software supports the Keysight M980xA PXI Vector Network Analyzer. The M980xA provides a flexible, modular, PXI-based multiport test environment with fast measurement times.
There are three versions supported by the VSA software: a single-slot module with 2 ports (M980xA-200), a two-slot module with 4 ports (M980xA-400), and a two-slot module with 6 ports (M980xA-600). Each module requires Spectrum analysis hardware option M980xA-190. The center frequency limits are model-dependent. Bandwidth is 29 MHz Megahertz: A unit of frequency equal to one million hertz or cycles per second..
Using the M980xA PXI VNA
The VSA software does not communicate directly with the modules, but connects to the PXI Network Analyzer soft front panel (SFP) application. The SFP must be running on the PC controlling the PXI chassis. This can be either an embedded controller in the chassis or an external PC connected via an adapter. The modules that form the network analyzer are selected when running the PXI Network Analyzer software. The controller PC must have a license for S95090 Spectrum Analysis.
Each port on the M980xA module corresponds to a VSA channel: Port 1 corresponds to Channel 1, Port 2 corresponds to Channel 2, and so on. When more than one module is used, the channels are assigned in the order that the modules are aggregated in the PXI Network Analyzer application.
