Amplitude Error Time
Menu Path:
Amplitude Error Time reports the difference between the measured amplitude versus time and a reference signal's amplitude versus time. The reference signal is estimated as the VSA's best guess on a nicely formed pulse signal. Deviations from that reference are considered errors. The region of the pulse that's considered for amplitude error calculation is defined under the Pulse Properties > Regions Tab.
Amplitude Error Time = Amplitude Meas Time - Amplitude Ref Time
When Time Values Are Relative To is set to First Pulse, X-axis time values are displayed relative to first detected pulse Rise Edge (s) value.
When Time Values Are Relative To is set to Trigger, X-axis time values are displayed relative to acquisition trigger event occurrence.
The Inst Amplitude Error Time is a non-averaged version of Amplitude Error Time.
Valid trace Format selections are:
- Real
The Ripple Analysis Width is displayed as a dark green band that is centered on each pulse.
