Amplitude Meas Time

Menu Path: Trace > Data > Amplitude

Amplitude Meas Time reports region-synchronized measured signal amplitude level samples over time in the units determined by Trace Y Scale and Trace Format selection combination.

The Inst Amplitude Meas Time is a non-averaged version of Amplitude Meas Time .

The Y Scale units of the reported Amplitude trace can be configured from either the Trace menu, as shown below, or by right clicking the Y Scale trace area (located to the left of a trace grid).

 

By selecting appropriate Y Unit and trace Format selection combination as listed below you can display Amplitude Meas Time trace results in either dBm deciBels referenced to a milliWatt: dB relative to 1 milliwatt dissipated in the nominal input impedance of the analyzer, Watt or Volt units:

• Y Unit = Auto: Format = Log Mag
  • dBvPk units
• Y Unit = Auto: Format = Linear Mag
  • Volt units
• Y Unit = Auto: Format = Real
  • Volt units

Valid trace Format selections are:

• Log Mag (dB)
• Linear Mag
• Real
