This is a Data Header variable.

Type = Integer

A value of 2 indicates the segment start times are the duration in seconds from the first sample of the first segment to the first sample of the corresponding segment and is the preferred approach to use. Absence of this header or a value of 1 indicates the segment start times are relative to the trigger location in each segment (this is for legacy backward compatibility usage).
