Using a Standard Setup (802.11a/g/j/p OFDM)

Selects a OFDM Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing: OFDM employs multiple overlapping radio frequency carriers, each operating at a carefully chosen frequency that is Orthogonal to the others, to produce a transmission scheme that supports higher bit rates due to parallel channel operation. OFDM is an alternative tranmission scheme to DSSS and FHSS. (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) standard preset configuration. When a standard preset is selected, the VSA automatically sets the parameters shown in the following table:

Available OFDM Standard Presets

IEEE 802.11a/g OFDM

HIPERLAN/2

802.11a/g Turbo Mode

ASTM DSRC

IEEE 802.11g DSSS-OFDM

The 802.11a/g/j/p OFDM Demodulator must be selected before these Standard Presets are available.
