This topic describes the Signal Optimizer's default Favorite Settings for importing a waveform file.
Display the sample rate of the signal. This value is read-only and will be autotmaically calculated from symbol rate and over sampling rate.
Display the number of sample points in the waveform. This value is read-only and will be automatically updated with waveform setting change. Waveform length is directly related to the oversampling ratio value selected. (Increasing the oversampling ratio increases the total sample points.)
Display the waveform length in seconds. This value is read-only and will be automatically updated with waveform setting change.
Sets the type of waveform file that will be imported.
CSV File - reads data from a specified CSV file.
LabVIEW CSV File - reads data from a specified LabVIEW CSV file.
MATLAB HDF File - reads data from the specified HDF5 file (e.g. a 7.3 Matlab file).
N5110A Waveform File - reads data from the specified N5110A BIN file (scaled interleaved 16 bit IQ integer data with an optional header file).
M8190A DUC IQBIN File - reads data from the specified M8190A DUC IQBIN file (scaled interleaved 16 bit IQ integer data).
WFM File - reads data from Keysight Signal Studio encrypted waveform file.
For waveforms that are exported from an M8190A+PSG configuration with a center frequency above 20GHz, the PSG's IQ Invert feature is normally applied to the waveform. When importing the saved waveform into the Signal Optimizer software, the signal may be inverted again if the center frequency is above 20 GHz, creating an undesired signal with poor EVM. In this case, set IQ Conjugation to InvertQ to correct the inverted waveform.
Defines the format of the BIN file (N5110A Waveform File type only).
IQ Interveaved - the binary data is composed of interleaved I,Q pairs in a single file.
IQ Separated - the binary data comes from two separate files:one for I data and one for Q data.
Choices: IQ Interveaved | IQ Separated
Specifies the file containing signal waveform to be imported.
Specifies the file containing signal waveform I data to be imported (N5110A Waveform File type only when BIN File Style is IQ Separated).
Specifies the file containing signal waveform Q data to be imported (N5110A Waveform File type only when BIN File Style is IQ Separated).
Specifies the file containing vsa setup for the waveform to be imported.
This sets/gets a multiplier that will be used to scale the frequency specified in the file.
This sets/gets a multiplier that will be used to scale the amplitude of the data in the file.
Select the sample rate mode to be used.
From File - the sample rate value defined within the imported file format will be used automatically.
Manual - the user must manually specify the sample rate value in Hz to be used for imported signal file playback.
Choices: From File | Manual
