This procedure shows how to configure a PC connected directly to a PXIe chassis.
Note: Beginning with Rev. 2016, the N1500A software supports up to 32 ports on a multi-port PXIe.
Download and install the N1500A software on the PC.
Connect the PC directly to the PXIe chassis using the following:
On the PC, click the Network Analyzer Icon to run the application.
Click Utility, System, Configure, then click SICL/GPIB/SCPI.
Check HiSlip Enabled. Note the HiSLIP address. This will be entered in the Keysight Connection Expert.
Click OK.
Note: On the PC, the Network Analyzer Application must be running before connection can be made.
Note: The following procedure assumes that you have Keysight I/O Libraries 17.1 installed on the PC. This version can be downloaded from www.keysight.com/find/iosuite.
Copy the license file emailed to you during the License Redemption Process to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Keysight\Materials Measurement Suite\Data and Setup.
Note: If you haven't received a license yet, you can still use the software for two weeks with the automatically installed Free Two Week Demo License.
Connect Software Security Key (dongle) to known good USB port on the PXIe. A light on the USB key should illuminate.
