Rohde and Schwarz NRP-Z power sensors MAY work with the PNA. However, because there are many factors out of our control, we can not guarantee their functionality or performance.
Note: PNA firmware before A.09.00.xx will NOT include this capability. Ideally, the PNA should have the most recent PNA Firmware that is supported by your PNA.
The following procedure shows how to install the drivers for a R&S NRP-Z sensor for use with the PNA Source Power Cal and Power Meter-As-Receiver (PMAR) features:
Download the “NRP Toolkit” from: http://www2.rohde-schwarz.com/en/products/test_and_measurement/power_volt_meter/NRPZ-%7c-Tools-%7c-67-%7c-984.html
Copy and install the file onto the PNA.
Download the latest ‘x86’ version of the “NRP-Z VXIplug&play Drivers” from: http://www2.rohde-schwarz.com/en/products/test_and_measurement/power_volt_meter/NRPZ-%7c-Drivers-%7c-25-%7c-961-%7c-1841.html. Use this version for ALL PNA Operating Systems.
Copy and install the file onto the PNA.
Connect the R&S sensor to a PNA USB port. The Windows “New Hardware Wizard” will appear.
Select Install the software automatically, then click Next> repeatedly to proceed through the Install wizard.
After exiting the wizard, the PNA should show the power sensor as available as a “USB” choice in the configuration dialogs for the Source Power Cal and PMAR dialogs.
