For uplink receiver testing, the signal generator must synchronize with the base station using the frame trigger (assuming that the frame trigger is available from the base station). The frame trigger signal must be connected to the PATTERN TRIGGER IN connector of the signal generator so that it works as a Dual Arb trigger signal with the appropriate trigger delay.
