Agilent frequently updates the Signal Studio online documentation (help system). Your software may not have the latest revision of help installed. This topic describes how to access and install the latest revision of help into your Signal Studio software.
Visit the Signal Studio web page at http://www.agilent.com/find/signalstudio.
At the bottom of the page, click the link for your Signal Studio model.
Under the Technical Support tab, click Manuals. Links to both a downloadable compiled help file (.chm) and a web-viewable help system (webhelp) appear.
Compare the date shown for the .chm file on the web page to the compiled date shown on the main menu page of your software's installed help system. If the compiled date of your software's installed help system is earlier than the date shown on the web page, you may want to consider installing the latest revision of help into your software by using the procedure below.
Before installing the latest revision of the help file into your software, make sure it still supports the features of your existing software revision. You can make this determination by comparing your software's revision number to the latest software revision number listed in the release notes of the help system available on the Agilent website. If the first digit of your software's revision number (for example, 4.0) matches the most recent revision number listed in the release notes (for example, 4.1), you can be confident that the latest help file will support the features of your current software and contain updated information. If the first digit of the most recent software revision listed in the release notes is greater than your current software revision (for example, 5.0), you may want to consider downloading the latest version of software instead.
Move the existing installed help file to a safe place on your PC. This ensures you can restore it later if you discover the new help file does not suit your needs. If you installed your Signal Studio software with the default directories, the help file (for example, WiMAX.chm) is located in C:\Program Files\Agilent\Signal Studio\<application name>\.

Do not move the API help file (for example, N7613API.chm) if it exists. |
Download the latest help file (.chm) for your Signal Studio model from the Agilent website and copy it to the same directory from which you moved the existing help file in the previous step.
Verify that the new help file can be accessed from the software by selecting Contents, Index, or Search from the Help drop-down menu.
