When you purchase a license, you receive a Software Entitlement Certificatethat contains an order number and certificate number that you need to obtain your license file. Each signal generator must be licensed separately; you will need the model number and serial number.
Go to the website http://agilent.com/find/softwarelicense.
Follow the directions on the website.
You will receive an email with the license file attached.
If you have not yet installed the software, refer to the Installation topic for the procedure on downloading the software.
Ensure that the Signal Studio software is not running.
Copy the license file into the directory C:\Program Files\Agilent\Signal Generation License Files\Drop.
Make a back-up copy of the license files and store them in a safe place.
After you have made all instrument connections, open the software and click Test Connection or Test All Connections in the Instruments window to download the license to the signal generator. Once the initial connection between the software and hardware enables the waveform license, the software is fully functional on any PC connected to this signal generator.
