Using a Trial License

1. If you have not yet installed the software, refer to the Installation topic for the procedure on downloading the software.

2. After you have made all instrument connections, click Test Connection or Test All Connections in the Instruments window of the software.

   

3. In the Authorization dialog box that appears, click OK to start the trial license period. If you click Download after a trial license has expired, the software displays a license expired message in the note column of the Instruments window. Each vector signal generator must then be licensed separately in order to play the waveforms created by the software.

You can track the time remaining on the license from the front panel of the signal generator. Look at the Expiration column for the number of remaining days. The signal generator shows EXPIRED when there is no time remaining.

• On ESG/PSG, press: Utility > Instrument Adjustments > Instrument Options > Waveform Licenses.

• On the MXG/MXG ATE, press: Utility > Instrument Info > Options Info > Instrument Options. (For the MXG ATE, use the web interface.)
