The Edit menu consists of the following menu items:
These menu items handle operations that manipulate pulse and pattern objects. The Edit menu items Cut, Copy, Paste, and Delete can be used on a pulse, a pattern, or an individual pattern item. For example, if you are creating a pulse and wish to copy its parameters to another pulse, you would use the Copy and Paste menu items.
This menu item removes the selected pulse, pattern, or pattern item from the library or pattern definition and places it on the clipboard. In addition, you can use Cut to remove an item from a pattern. You can cut any number of pattern items in any order:
Hold down the

from the menu itemsIn either case, a dialog box will ask for verification before the pulse, pattern, or pattern item is cut.
This menu item copies pulse, pattern item, or pattern parameters and saves the parameters to the PC clipboard. You can then paste the copied pulse, pattern item, or pattern parameters into another pulse, pattern item, or pattern. The Copy operation can save time as manual entries can be tedious to enter. The Copy operation is very useful for complex Custom IQ and Custom Profile pulse types. For example, if you want to use most of the parameters of an existing pulse named pulse_1, in a new pulse named pulse_2 you would:
Create a new pulse.
Select the icon
Rename the New Pulse to pulse_2.
Click New Pulse, click the right mouse button, select
and type pulse_2.Click pulse_1. Click the right mouse button, select
Click pulse_2. Click the right mouse button, select
Pattern parameters can be copied in the same manner.
This menu item pastes copied parameters into another pulse, pattern, or pattern item. If the clipboard contains a pattern item, the parameters are pasted into an existing pattern item. If no pulse or pattern is selected (an empty pulse list, for example), pasting is not allowed. For table entries, multiple element copy and paste is allowed. If an item is selected, the paste operation will overwrite the content of the item and any item after this item until all copied elements are pasted. If the pattern item table is empty, copied items will paste from the start of the index.
The Pulse Building application supports cut and paste operations between two projects. You can cut and paste pulses, patterns, and off times between projects only when two instances of the Pulse Building application are running. To generate two instances, the Pulse Building executable (.exe) is run twice. Patterns of patterns cannot be copied between projects.
This menu item removes the pulse, pattern, or pattern item along with all associated parameters and definitions. If the delete operation is on a pulse or pattern that pulse or pattern is removed from the library.
