Padded and Truncated Steps

If a step modulation, such as AM Step or FM Step, is used, the time duration for the total number of steps must equal the on-time for the pulse, measured from the first point to last point for custom profile and custom I/Q pulse data or from 100%-100% of the pulse width for the built-in trapezoidal and raised-cosine pulse types. If the steps do not equal the pulse width, the N7620B Pulse Building software will truncate at the last step completed (ignoring following steps) or pad (use the last step value for the duration of the pulse).
