Clicking Arbitrary Waveform Generator in the 
tree view
provides access to the Arb's instrument controls in the main window. The available parameters vary, depending on the Arb model. This topic describes connection to the M9330A, N8241A, and N6030A. Click the plus 
box or 
arrow to expand each set of parameters.
The Arbitrary Waveform Generator settings provide direct control of the external Arb. These settings are only available when the system is configured for External I/Q or Wideband I/Q. The values are sent to and from the Arb using the Update to Instrument and Update from Instrument buttons. If Real Time Update is enabled, however, any changes you make are immediately sent to the instrument. Whenever you download or play a waveform, all of the current Arb settings are sent to the instrument.
